Why a Residential CeMAP® Course?
In financial services it is rare for courses other than those of one day, not to be residential. It means that you are away from the distractions of everyday life and can concentrate fully on learning, with no need for early starts or difficult journeys into the training centre. It also means that the tutors are on hand to answer your questions whenever they arise. All of our courses including CeMAP®, DipFA® and DipMAP® are run on a classroom / residential course and home study basis.
Where are they held?
Our classroom / residential CeMAP® courses are held in the historic market town of Faversham, Kent. Close to the beautiful city of Canterbury, with all its attractions and just 40 miles from London on the M2, or less than an hour by train. Obviously, people can choose to attend on a daily basis and not stay. If you would like your course to be closer to you please contact us and we will try to assist.
We recognise that many delegates will require accommodation and therefore we have arrangements in place with a wide range of local establishments. Our administration team will happily provide details when you are booking a course. Naturally, accommodation prices in Faversham are substantially cheaper then those often found in London. For all those attending our courses, refreshments are provided free of charge.
Tell me about your trainers
Currently we have a pool of 5 trainers. As well as being experienced trainers, they all have worked within financial services actually doing the jobs. We feel this is important as it means that as well as helping you get through the CeMAP® exam, our trainers explain the reasons behind the answers giving you a clearer understanding. All of them hold the relevant exams for the subject that they are teaching, that is, the CeMAP® residential course is run by a trainer who holds the full CeMAP® qualification.
What jobs have they done?
The list of positions they have worked in is quite extensive: mortgage advisor, bank manager, broker consultant, financial advisor, sales manager. Likewise the companies they have worked for have all been impressive: HSBC, NatWest, Royal Sun Alliance, Your Move, Fox & Sons, Royal Bank of Scotland. As we say, quite extensive, which means that they can bring their experiences and knowledge into the classroom.
What about the after course back-up?
All of our trainers are available via email to answer any of the questions you may have forgotten to ask during the residential CeMAP® course. We also welcome delegates to attend the course again, if they wish to help with their understanding, free of charge. Help is also available for career guidance and employment placement.

Fast Track Learning
We’ve designed our course and supporting materials to deliver the knowledge you need, in the most efficient manner possible. Once you’ve paid your deposit , we will send our “Making Sense of Money” guide, which is a gentle introduction to the subject. Many delegates like to prepare themselves before attending and so the HomeStudy lessons are sent to you approximately 1 week prior to attending the course and whilst we don’t expect or require you to have studied these, experience has shown that those delegates who have briefly read through them get far more out of their course.
Much of the CeMAP® 2 syllabus covers material already studied as part of CeMAP® 1. We make best use of our training time, by providing a brief refresher on this material, rather than re-covering it in great depth. Full analysis of this material is included within the HomeStudy package which is provided with the course. This allows us to focus more of our time with you on the new parts of the syllabus with which you will be unfamiliar.
